2021 SS&A Ovens and Murray Football Netball League Fixture
The 2021 fixture will commence with a season opening twilight game on Saturday 27th March with Albury Tigers hosting Yarrawonga Pigeons at Albury Sportsground. Lavington will then host Wangaratta Rovers on Sunday 28th March, unveiling the 2019 SS&A Cup Premiership Flag and showcasing the opening O&M fixture with the upgraded facilities at Lavington Sportsground.
The opening full round will be held over the Easter weekend, 2nd to 4th April with three twilight matches and two day games scheduled. The lineup of Easter games features some blockbuster matches with Wodonga Raiders hosting a twilight contest with Wangaratta Magpies on Good Friday, Corowa-Rutherglen will welcome Wodonga Bulldogs to John Foord Oval on the Saturday. Wangaratta Rovers face off against Albury in a Saturday twilight game for their opening home game whilst Easter Sunday features Yarrawonga and Lavington at Lonsdale Oval, Mulwala and Myrtleford host North Albury in their first twilight fixture at McNamara Reserve.
Round 2 showcases the first night games of 2021 with Lavington welcoming Wodonga Raiders and Wangaratta Magpies hosting Myrtleford. Wodonga Bulldogs will host their first twilight contest as they take on Yarrawonga at Martin Park.
Round 3 features the opening Derby match between Wangaratta Rovers and Wangaratta Magpies with the game to be held at WJ Findlay Oval on the Sunday.
Round 4 offers the traditional Anzac Day contests between North Albury and Albury, and Wodonga taking on Wodonga Raiders on the Sunday, with the remaining fixtures to be played on the Saturday.
The 2021 fixture features twilight or night games across the opening six weeks of competition, with a total of seven twilight games and five night games. Albury, Wangaratta Rovers and Wodonga host their inaugural twilight/night games whilst Myrtleford to host its third night fixture.
Queen’s Birthday weekend provides home games for Corowa-Rutherglen, Myrtleford and Yarrawonga to capitalise on increased tourism across those regions over the long-weekend.
A general bye has been fixtured on the 22nd May for a possible Interleague clash with the Goulburn Valley League, whilst the draw also provides two split rounds over two weeks in rounds 11 and 15.
